A QUIET SPIRIT

WHAT IS A QUIET SPIRIT?
- A spirit that can pause, meditate, reflect, and take great pleasure in the glory of God (Psalms 46:10, Zephaniah 1:7(NIV), Zechariah 2:13)
- A quiet spirit empowers us to remain humble before God (Psalms 51:17, James 4:10, 1 Peter 5:6)
- God’s eyes will constantly be on you if you have a quiet spirit (Psalms 34:15, Proverbs 15:3, 1 Peter 3:12)
THE POWER OF A QUIET SPIRIT
- Receiving messages from God Almighty (Job 33:31(NIV), Luke 11:28, John 8:43(NIV), John 10:27)
- Operating in the revelation gifts (word of knowledge, discernment of the spirit and word of knowledge) (Deuteronomy 29:29, Proverbs 29:18(NIV), 1 Corinthians 12:8&10)
- Spiritual refreshment (revival) (Isaiah 44:3, Jeremiah 31:25(NIV), Habakkuk 3:2)
HOW TO BE QUIET IN SPIRIT
- Ask the Lord for the spirit (Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:13, John 15:7)
- Have deep respect for God (reverence) (1 Samuel 12:24, Psalms 89:7, Hebrew 12:28)
- Surrender all to God (Matthew 6:24, Luke 9:23, Romans 12:1)
